Written Exam (PhD Qualifying Exam)

  • Artificial Intelligence

You may take the qualifying exam before or after admission. If not passed within 4 semesters after admission, the student will be transferred to the Master's program.

The qualifying exam is administered only during the 1st recruitment period (May).

PhD Program

Oral Exam

Present your Master's thesis or research project and undergo evaluation on the presentation and your field of study.

May be waived upon request by the desired advisor

Written Exam (PhD Qualifying Exam)

Choose 2 out of the following subjects

Cross-major Master's (Internal/External)

(Apply through the general admissions track)

In response to the rise of interdisciplinary EEE involving basic sciences and other engineering fields, we offer a new Master's track for non-EEE undergraduates aiming for multidisciplinary research based on EEE.

Eligible Majors

Basic Sciences: Mathematics/Physics/Chemistry/Biology and related majors

Engineering: CSE/ChemE/Materials/Mechanical/Industrial/Bio and related majors

Interview & Research Plan
  • Mandatory pre-consultation with the desired advisor on major subjects/research topics (required)
  • Self-introduction and research plan
  • In-depth interview (undergraduate STEM level)
  • Interview tailored to the applicant's undergraduate major and proposed research topic
  • Consult the desired advisor for detailed information
